Our CommunityHurstbridge Medical Centre has been an integral part of the Hurstbridge community for over 40 years.We are a vibrant, collaborative practice dedicated to providing ethical, quality family medical care. We are fully QPA accredited, and we are well supported by nursing staff, allied health, on site pathology and visiting specialists. Our GPs love their profession, and they are committed to providing evidence based medical care in an environment of respect towards, and collaboration with, their patients. Dr. Asha Ford completed her undergraduate degree and Honours in Biomedical Science at RMIT, before going on to study medicine at Monash University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2012.
Following her medical training, Asha undertook specialist GP training with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and was awarded her Fellowship (FRACGP) in 2017.
Asha grew up locally and continues to live in the area. She has been a valued member of the Nillumbik and Research Medical Centre teams since 2016 and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. She practices across all areas of general practice, with particular interests in women’s health, family medicine, and chronic disease management.
Outside of work, Asha enjoys being part of the local community and values building long-term relationships with her patients.
Most of all she loves spending time with her family.
